Machu Picchu

Cusco

Explore Cusco, the Imperial City of the Incas, with your guide and deep dive into the city’s history, daily life, and its significance in the Andes. During your stay in Cusco, we will be visiting the local market, the heart of Cusco, where you’ll experience vibrant colors, flavors, and local traditions, as well as other significant sites like the Koricancha, once the most important Inca temple dedicated to Inti (the Sun God). Marvel at the Sacsayhuaman fortress, an incredible feat of Inca military architecture with massive stone blocks, and stroll around the artistic neighborhood of San Blas, Plaza de Armas and explore the Cathedral, Cusco’s most important church. Cusco is also a great jump off point for other day hikes like the Rainbow and Palcoyo Mountain, Humantay Lake, Ausangate, and many others.
